MINOUK LIM

The culmination of a two-year project made possible by Visions of the City – Obayashi Foundation Research Program, Minouk Lim's exhibition Hyper Yellow, anchored by a new three-channel video installation, is on view at Komagome SOKO, Tokyo. The exhibition and related performance S.O.S–Run Shin Shin, which took the audience in a yakatabune (a traditional Japanese leisure boat) on the Sumida River and Tokyo Bay, explore notions of history, nation, faith, and ecology.

 

Selected by a committee of Japanese museum directors and curators, previous awardees of the prestigious biennial grant include exonemo, Theaster Gates, and Aida Makoto.
