LEE BUL: NEW AND SELECTED WORKS

Lee Bul's first Korean gallery presentation in six years, this exhibition marks the launch of BB&M as an independent art gallery. The show features a selection of Lee Bul's sought-after series of wall works: the Perdu series, which expands upon visual motifs from her early biomorphic sculptures into vibrant, painterly abstractions; and the Untitled (Willing to be Vulnerable) series, which continues her examination of utopian modernity in mesmerizing mixed-media collage on velvet panels. Providing context to the wall works, the exhibition also includes Still (2004) a rare, freestanding biomorphic sculpture, and a scaled-down version of Aubade (2021), a monumental sculpture that featured in the 2019 Venice Biennale.
