The exhibition explores how porcelain shaped stereotypes surrounding women, sexuality, and race through a feminist reimagining of European porcelain history while critically examining Europe’s fantasies of the East and its reverberations.
Monster: Black is a headless creature with root-like limbs, transcending the notion of a monster that evokes fear and instead embodies an evolved being that goes beyond the boundaries of social liberation, gender, and the body.
