BB&M Happy Hour는 미술계 현안에 대한 다양한 시각과 견해를 자유롭게 펼쳐보는 자리입니다. 그 첫 번째 시간인 "What If Your Friend's Art Sucks?"는 Documenta 15의 총감독을 맡은 루앙루파의 표어, "Make friends, not art!"에 대한 뉴욕 타임스 기자 Jason Farago의 질문에서부터 출발합니다. 이번 토크에서는 대규모 국제 미술행사, 예술의 기준 그리고 이와 연결된 국내 미술계의 이슈에 대해 들여다보고자 합니다.

BB&M Happy Hour is an occasional series of talks about issues of relevance in the contemporary art world. Convivial, loose in format, and accompanied by stimulating refreshments, BB&M Happy Hour invites artists, curators, writers, collectors, and anyone else simply interested to know what’s happening in the art world to join in with opinions and questions.
The first BB&M Happy Hour takes as its starting point the somewhat rhetorical question posed by New York Times’ Jason Farago in his write-up of Documenta 15: “What if your friend’s art sucks?” — a rejoinder to the slogan “Make friends, not art,” put forth by Ruang Rupa, the artistic directors of this year’s contentious Documenta.
The first BB&M Happy Hour takes place on November 17, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It features a panel that includes Taehyun Kwon (art critic), Suzy Park (independendent curator), and Jaeyong Park (writer and independent curator), moderated by Goeun Song (Director, BB&M).
